A graduate of the Right to Dream Academy, Abdul Mumin (full name Khalid Abdul Mumin Suleman) began his professional career with FC Nordsjælland in Denmark in 2016, with a loan spell at HB Køge. He moved to Portugal''s Vitória de Guimarães in 2020, before signing a four-year deal with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga in September 2022, making his debut against Athletic Bilbao. He received his first Ghana call-up at the end of 2021 for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. A serious cruciate ligament injury sustained in March 2025 threatened his World Cup involvement, but his recovery and return to the squad is one of several injury-comeback stories in this group, earning him his World Cup debut in North America.
